In our Emergency department we are concerned with caring for undifferentiated, unscheduled patients with illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. Our first-line providers, emergency physicians are responsible for initiating resuscitation and stabilization, starting investigations and interventions to diagnose and treat illnesses in the acute phase, coordinating care with specialists, and determining disposition regarding patients’ need for hospital admission, observation, or discharge.
We are capable to provide safe and effective diagnostic and therapeutic health care services covering all acuity levels of medical conditions. This service is provided for all patients’ age groups, from neonates to geriatric patients, attending Bona Dea International Hospital (BDIH) Emergency Department (ED) through organized experienced teamwork.
Our aim is to provide 24/7-hour emergency medicine care of the highest possible quality.
To put more emphasis on staff and patient education, ensuring the highest respect to patient and family rights.
Also 24/7 Ambulance coverage with three ambulance cars available. A Helipad is available to allow patients to be transferred to BDIH for emergency care.
Access to our 24/7 Operating Rooms and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories further ensure that patients who need an urgent surgery or have suffered a myocardial infarction and require acute opening of the heart vessels are taken care off immediately.
All patients who come to the BDIH ED are evaluated, stabilized, treated, referred to appropriate outpatient clinic during office hours, hospitalized according to the individual patient’s condition and needs.
Multi-disciplinary teams are assembled and dispatched for specialized cases.
