Prof. Dr. med. Rengin Yildirim
In 1985, she received the title of Medical Doctor at Ankara Gazi University.
1988 – 1992 – Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology
In 1992, she worked with Marguerite McDonald on refractive surgery at Louisiana State University.
In 2000, she received training on Laser refractive surgery from Dimitri Azar at Boston Mass Eye & Ear Infirmary. Here, she had the opportunity to write a book and actively participate in surgical interventions with the same group.
She received the title of Associate Professor in the Eye Clinic of Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 2002.
She received the title of Professor in 2009.
He is actively working on CO2 Laser Surgical applications and periocular skin rejuvenation in the field of oculoplasty in Cerrahpaşa Eye Clinic, one of the distinguished eye clinics in Turkey.
Between 2016 and 2019, she worked as a clinical education officer.
She is an active lecturer and head of the Unit of Strabismus and Oculoplasty in Cerrahpaşa Eye Clinic and gives education to medical students in English and Turkish.
She is a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery group and has had the opportunity to promote her country at symposiums in different parts of England every year.
In terms of the importance of timing in childhood eye diseases, the sensitive development of the brain and eye together and in infancy, and the formation of three-dimensional vision, early recognition of childhood visual defects is important. In this period it is an important responsibility for us to contribute to the acquisition of quality vision by working with the family.
